9. 9 Summer Visit Purpose An opportunity to meet with firms new to the Safety Groups program: –review their action plan –review & discuss progress to date –provide direction and feedback –identify Safety Group’s overall progress and any potential issues

10. 10 Selection of Firms Before summer, 10% of firms are chosen from each new Safety Group to participate in a summer visit If chosen, the firm must participate in the visit process

11. 11 Summer Visit Schedule 1. Sponsor notified of selected firms (June) 2. WSIB Consultant contacts firm to arrange date and time of summer visit (June/July) 3. WSIB Consultant conducts summer visit (July to August) 4. Firms receive copy of report from WSIB (July to August)

12. 12 Summer Visit Process WSIB Consultant will review your action plan and any documentation of the 5 steps completed to date for each Safety Group elements Tour facility Copy of progress report will be provided at meeting

13. 13 Year-End Scoring Year 1 each element worth 20% all 5 steps must be completed to achieve 20% 5 completed elements X 20% = 100% Year-end calculations WSIB reviews all year-end achievement reports and scores based on above complete spot-checks of 10% of each Safety Group if spot-checks verify the reported score, the average score of the entire safety group is used if spot-checks verify lower scores, the average score of the spot-checks will be used 4% of the 8% rebate is the year-end score
