2 What is a Smith/Ostler Order? Court order for additional support based on: Overtime, Bonuses or Commissions received Income or Earnings over set amount Other Specific Income Sources Additional support includes: Child support Spousal support Both 2

3 What does the order look like? Base Support PLUS Additional Support Calculated by: Percentage OR Table, Chart or Schedule 3

4 Simple Examples Obligor shall pay 10% of any gross income earned over $10,000 per month as additional child support. Obligor shall pay additional child and/or spousal support based on the attached Table for income earned over $125,000 per year. 4
