MAC – 6D emittance calculations (added 21/8/07) UB – Match Coil currents for Step 2 ?? – G4BL beam through G4MICE simulation of STEP II – volunteer required (see next page) AOB

3 17 Sept 2007 Analysis PC 18 Sept 2007 3 We believe that Step II will quantify / help understand the beam How well can the tracker measure the beam momentum in Step II? Tracker resolutions have been studied for muons starting in solenoid -- some p t required to get useful p z resolution  p z > 6 MeV/c for p t < 10 MeV/c p z resolution versus p t from MICE note 90 It would be desirable to run a G4BL beam through a G4MICE simulation of Step II with real resolutions to understand what we can really do in Step II. This has never been investigated; it’s time to do this. Any volunteers?
