3 Specific science issues Leading genetic, biomedical & molecular informatics. World class biological and life sciences. Strong, integrated and responsive physical sciences and engineering. Leading edge clinical, field and laboratory facilities. Superb public-science issue discussion mechanisms.

4 Interaction with co-funders and partners Genuine medium - long term strategic investment partnerships. Play to UK strengths across “boundaries”. Anticipate UK’s leading Science role for 2010 and beyond.
