1 Lesson outcomes Evaluate our current skill set and identify where we need to improve. Identify our own values Discuss what British values are What’s PSHE all about? Lots of discussion! But you will need to do some writing so we each have a folder. Assessment – You will be assessed against different skills. You will grade yourself before each module, and then you and your teacher will grade you at the end. Attitude to learning – You will be given these for every subject including PSHE.

You should now receive your folders and write your Name, form and PSHE on the front. You should also receive your Learning journey sheets. Read through them and complete the HAND PRINTS ONLY. Then, put your learning journey sheets inside your folders. You can discuss these with your partner if you would like!

My coat of arms What would your coat of arms have on it? What groups do you belong to? (scouts, rugby..) What are your interests or talents? (film, dance...) What things are important to you? What are your hopes for the future? Which people are important to you? Do you have a religion? Do you speak any other languages? What country are you from?

Identify our own values Discuss what British values are All write consensus 1.There will be some questions on the board 2.Answer 1 question at a time. 3.Number 1 goes first and gives 1 possible answer to the question 4.Teammates put thumbs up, down or sideways to indicate agreement or disagreement or doubt 5.If agree, all students write the answer on their own paper. If there is disagreement the teammate discusses the answer until an agreement is reached. 1.There will be some questions on the board 2.Answer 1 question at a time. 3.Number 1 goes first and gives 1 possible answer to the question 4.Teammates put thumbs up, down or sideways to indicate agreement or disagreement or doubt 5.If agree, all students write the answer on their own paper. E.g. manners 3.What rules do we have? E.g. Queuing 4.What about rules over religion or beliefs?

Give a number for your attitude towards your learning 1 is outstanding and 4 is unacceptable. E.g. 1 would mean you were an expert learner and went above and beyond with your learning! You asked questions, provided excellent and explained answers and your work could be shown as an example to help other pupils!
