3 Sectors within the Manufacturing Division  Agriculture Food & Drink Sector  Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals & Medical Devices Sector  Electronics, Engineering, Industrial Production Sector

4 Staff & Elected Representatives 45,000 members – Republic & Northern Ireland 1,000 elected representatives 800+ employers/sections 23 full time Industrial Staff – geographically located 5 Administrative support personnel

5 Collective Bargaining Ireland  Social Partnership – National Wage Agreements since 1987.  End of National Wage Agreements 2008 due to Economic Crises.  Collective Bargaining System is not the Anglo Saxon Model.  Public Sector – Croke Park Agreement.  Private Sector – Wage Negotiation Protocol – Local bargaining.  Private Sector – 55 wage Agreements concluded.  Average increase – 2% per annum. Average length of Agreement 24 months.  Agriculture Food & Drinks Sector – obtaining average private sector but more employers pleading inability to pay.
