8 Hey Reader! Bucket List Life Story

9 Dear Reader, This portfolio traces my works from elementary school all the way up to my senior year in high school. Its fascinating to see how much my writing has changed over the years! In elementary school, I practiced creative writing. It began to help me understand who I was as a writer. I wrote about myself, my friends, and my dream house…the easy stuff. Once I started middle school, it was a rude awakening. Instead of writing about imaginary friends, I had to write summaries on novels, learn how to write in MLA format, and learn how to properly cite sources. When I went to high school, nothing changed. I still had to write about assigned topics and books. I learned how to sentence diagram, write numerous types of poems, and how to analyze passages. However, throughout my public school education, I have grown as a writer. Take a look through my portfolio to see how my writing has improved! - Emily Daugherty P.S.
