3 Joint Information Systems Committee Supporting Higher and Further Education The New Strategy Status: approved draft - community consultation to 12 July key aims are to:  promote, support and develop the management and preservation of institutional and community digital materials for the benefit of UK HE and FE and research;  foster collaboration and partnerships with other public bodies, not for profit, and commercial sectors to address wider digital preservation challenges and opportunities;  ensure JISC itself meets the requirements of government and its funding bodies and provides leadership within the sector, through implementing good practice in the management and preservation of digital materials;  foster the evaluation of cost models and development of sustainable business models.
