4 Stage of Writing: Prewriting The stage where you get ready to write. You must: -Choose a topic -Decide why you are writing -Who you are writing for -What form will you use

11 Stage of Writing: Drafting Drafting is the stage where you take your ideas from your story map and put them on paper in complete sentence form.

12 Practice Activity Work on class collaboration Definition Poem. Post the prewriting class collaboration graphic organizer where it can be seen by all students. Take transcription from students using the prewriting strategy for ideas

13 Assessment Activity Have students draft using their prewriting graphic organizer. Conference with students: - “Tell me what your word is. What do you think of when you say that word?
