Some points to make:
Ovid is still committed to the goal of aggregating content, particularly in the STM areas, but there are some publishers who will never participate, and there are some subject areas that are not our focus. Thus OpenLinks provides another way for sites to integrate full text content from many sources via familiar and functional Ovid bibliographic databases.

Using Natural Language is a very way to quickly get the few good articles a clinician would need on his or her topic.
The Algorithm looks at things like proximity of words in a document, what fields they appear in, and how often they appear to decide the relvence.
When the actual words the user inputs are found the algorithm gives the documents score an extra boost.
