1 CAT35 fares on Galileo Their use by Your Agent

2 Aim of this talk The aim of these workshops are to get rid of the grey areas concerning these fares and to explain how they fit in with our current and future work processes

3 What are CAT35 fares? These are our net fares loaded by airlines directly on Galileo Other fares in the CAT family include CAT15 which are client specific net fares (route deals) or CAT25 which are also route deals but based on specific discounts off published fares

4 What are the advantages?
CAT35 fares that quote with an “A” status and are issued within deadline given are guaranteed the same way “G” status published fares are. This means there should be no ADMs on them Also means less resource spent loading them

5 How do I quote one? In a nutshell you modify your farequote or faredisplay entry with a :C For example FDLONNYC:C as fare quote FQS1.4/CKL:C as farequote Examples to follow

9 Key features The fare display shows fares with a “-”
The quoted fare says private fare selected The filed fare shows an “A” status and a tourcode. You should fill in the parts that are missed out such as TMUs

10 Hidden fares The :C entry only displays hidden net fares not published fares The fares that are shown/quoted by this method are only NET fares, you still need to use your normal tools to mark them up Airlines are encouraged to load this way on Galileo so published and net don’t get mixed up.

11 Non Hidden fares Occasionally airlines load these fares so they appear on a normal fare display alongside published fares e.g. LO, IB and RG (until recently). These can be quoted and are guaranteed as normal but remember these are NET!

12 Mark ups At the point of sale these fares need to be marked up to your normal selling levels. Note with current commission levels it is often better to downsell a net rather than sell a published

13 Other types of private fares loaded
There are other types of fares that you may see in the future TG for example loaded fares which gave a “P” status farequote and were actually their net fares marked up 10% then set to trigger only a 4% earning !

14 Account codes These are other fare entries that can either display
Marked up CAT35 fares Route deal fares loaded by airlines

15 Marked up CAT35 fares This is a mark up method using an account code. Galileo shortly will have the option to mark up without this. Entry is FDLONNYC/AF-PRI-XXX where XXX is an account code set to mark up by a specific percentage point

16 Marked up CAT35 route deal
This is same entry to previous but it will show a company’s route deal which again gives a guaranteed fare and saves looking up the route deal. Fare display:- FDLONMSP/CO-PRI-XXX Fare quote:- FQCCO-XXX XXX is the company account code

17 CAT 35 known issues Delays in loadings by airlines
KL don’t plan to load one ways! Complex itineraries cannot always quote Discrepancies due to “Q” taxes being added in different places at different levels Some errors on levels loaded or on PCC loaded under so don’t show everywhere they should If any fare quoted by CAT35 has a different net to contract please contact the airline.

18 Future of CAT35 Development in the future is likely to make CAT35 fit in better with Galileo and reduce the number of follow up entries such as TMU1BT*PC etc . For example soon marked up CAT35 fares can be made to appear in the normal fare display and so be more directly comparable with published fares. Note these cannot be used for ticketing

19 CAT35 carriers Depending on what net fare contracts you have the current Galileo carriers are:- KL, AF, NW, LH, DL, OS, BE, RG, SQ, AZ, AC, SN, LO, IB, 9Y QF, AY, CO, CX soon See for latest list
