3 To alphabetize means arrange words in order of the letters in the alphabet arranged in alphabetical order

5 So, to alphabetize a group of words, we need to follow TWO simple steps.
1st: find the first letter of each word. You can mark it, circle it, or underline it. In the example here, we have the words igloo, hobby, jolly, and grain. And you can see how I chose to underline the first letter. Simple! We’re halfway there!
