 N1: One sunny day a man decided to go to the market in the town. He went to the stable and got his donkey.
N2: The man’s daughter looked outside and saw her father about to set off for the village, so she hurried outside.
G: Dad! Dad! Where are you going? Can I come too?
M: I'm just going to the market. You can come if you want. Get your hat. It’s a hot day.
G: Father, will we ride the donkey today?
M: No dear, we won’t ride him today for it is a hot day, and he will have a heavy load to carry home from the market. 

25. N1: The man, the girl, and the donkey headed slowly down the dirt road that led to the town. After a short while, they met a group of farmers.
All: My, oh my! What do I see? A crazy situation right in front of me!
Farmer: You fools! Don't you know that donkeys are for riding? You must be afraid to rub the fur of its body.
Farmer’s Wife: How ridiculous! You own a donkey, but you don’t use it! That makes you the ass!
M: What are you scoundrels scoffing at? My dear, get up onto the Donkey.
Donkey: EEee-aww! Why didn’t that farmer keep his mouth shut!
All: Awwww…

26. N2: Soon, they came to a group of old men and women who were talking very earnestly.
All: My, oh my! What do I see? A crazy situation right in front of me!
Old Man: That idle lout of a girl sits there in luxury while her poor old father sweats like a pig!
Old Man’s Wife: Aren’t you ashamed of yourself, young lady? Your legs are young and strong, yet you let your father walk. Despicable!
N1: The man wasn’t a bit tired but he said.
M: What are you vagabonds scoffing at? Get down, precious, I will take a turn riding the donkey. Then the people will be satisfied.
Donkey: EEee-aww! I was better off with the young lass. Hmpf!
All: Awwww…

27. N2: Pretty soon they met some women coming from the town.
All: My, oh my! What do I see? A crazy situation right in front of me!
Woman 1: Why shame on you. How can you ride upon the beast, while that poor little boy there can hardly keep pace by the side of you?
Woman 2: You lazy old fellow. What kind of a man rides a donkey and leaves his poor little daughter to trudge along beside him?
M: What are you old crows scoffing at? Dear, climb up here with me!
Donkey: EEee-aww! Double trouble.
All: Awwww…
N1: They had not gone far when they came upon another group of passers-by who began to jeer, point and heap more ridicule upon them.

28. Blacksmith: Aren’t you ashamed of yourselves for overloading that poor Donkey! Someone should take a stick and knock the both of you off its back!
Blacksmith’s Wife: I agree, the poor animal can hardly walk. You two fellows look more fit to carry the poor beast than he is to carry you.
N2: The man and the girl stopped the donkey once again and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought. They had tried everything except carrying the donkey themselves.
M: Let us tie up the donkey’s four hooves and put a pole on our shoulders so we can carry him to market.
Donkey: EEee-aww! What a way to go! I’m dizzy. Whoo-hoo! Eee-aww!
N1: There was the donkey going to the market place upside down. From all sides, people came running and laughing. Never had they seen such an entertaining sight.

29. Donkey: Eeeee-ore! Girl, is it noisy.
N2: The Donkey was upset by all the noise, so it started to struggle and wiggle just as they stepped on the market bridge.
N1: He got one hoof loose and kicked at the girl.
G: Ouch! Cut that out!
N2: The girl dropped her end of the pole. The donkey rolled off the bridge and into the water.
All: SPLASH!
N1: Before anyone could fish him out he drowned.
M: I have tried to please everybody and have only made a fool of myself. After this I shall do as I think best and let people say what they will.
All: Try to please all and you will please none!

50. About the “Big Game”
評分標準首重咬字發音與語調的清晰度和正確性，聲調要切合角色的個性，避免歌唱韻文和肢體表演的部分佔太大的篇幅，壓縮到朗誦對白的時間，並且模糊焦點喧賓奪主。
RT表演就是另一種形式的廣播劇，是用聲音來做戲劇表演，服裝道具、肢體動作和歌曲演唱都只是點綴，避免過於誇張。
RT比賽是教學的延伸，比賽表演的內容是將教學的成果展演出來。
形式從簡－肢體動作、戲劇表演適可而止，服裝道具不列入評分。
RT讓觀眾從聲音的表演去「想像」場景和角色的個性以及特性。
角色分配要平均，勿讓對白集中在一兩個角色上。
