This presentation will help you register for and get started with the Enhanced Pearson eText.

Bookstore:
An Access Code is either included in a package or available stand-alone for purchase at the bookstore. You will redeem the code during the registration process.

Use a Credit Card or PayPal account to purchase instant access online during the registration process at pearsonhighered.com/etextbooks.
You will need to purchase access to the Enhanced Pearson eText to get started. You can visit the bookstore to purchase an eText with print package or stand-alone eText access code. OR you can go directly to and purchase instant access during the registration process with a credit card or PayPal account.

Select: Register  Student
To register for your Enhanced Pearson etext, go to Click to register as a student.

“Yes, I have an access code.”

“No, I need to buy access.”

Select: Sign In  Student
Script: Each time you want to access your etext, you will go to the same website ( and this time select Sign-In  Student.

On iPad, iPad mini, and 10” Android tablets, download the free Pearson eText app from the App Store or Google Play store.

Click “Extended Access/Print Version” in the left-hand navigation to purchase low-cost extended digital access or an inexpensive, black and white Loose-Leaf Version of the text.

15. How to Register for an eText Course
*Note: These steps only apply if your instructor has setup an eText course to share notes with the class.
Click on “Settings” in the upper-right hand corner of your eText.
INSTRUCTOR NOTE: Only share this information with students if you have setup an eText Course ID and plan to share notes with students in the eText.
To join an eText course, click on “Settings” in the upper-right hand corner of your eText.

Click to Join a Course.
Enter the eText Course ID provided by your instructor. It will look something like “LastName123456eb”. You can also search by instructor last name to find the Course ID.
Click to go to the eText.

Your instructor’s shared notes will appear in your eText.
