11 Admissions Process: 2 Steps
STEP 1: School admissions will check to see that all documents are in order and that you meet the minimum standards for university admission. STEP 2: Your application will be assessed by the department to ascertain your suitability and compatibility with department professors.

12 Timeline April-July: think, read, research, select schools and programs. Plan essays and cultivate your recommenders. August-November: take GRE/GMAT/TOEFL, write essays, get transcripts and recommendations, fill out applications, and communicate with professors. November – January: Complete applications. March-May: Notified of decisions. August – Fall academic year begins.
