The Bible, 2,000 years ago, anticipated ‘bad’ science.

Science means knowledge. True science always agrees with the observable evidence. True science performed on God’s creation agrees with the Creator’s written Word. The theory of evolution contradicts the observable evidence. Only the Creator and God of the universe — the author of the scientific laws that govern His universe — could cause scientific facts to be recorded in a book —the Bible. Only the Judeo-Christian Bible contains facts and knowledge that anticipated their scientific discovery by hundreds and in some cases several thousand years. Given that Bible writers were not scientists, and given that the scientific information at their disposal was generally wrong or misleading, the accuracy of the Bible can only be attributed to the inspiration of God.” Psalm 19:1-3 – The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Romans 1:20 – For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

Time, Space, Matter, Power and Motion:

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The word "beginning" refers specifically to the beginning of time. Time had a beginning When the Bible was written most people believed the universe was eternal. For many years scientists were convinced that the universe was infinite (without beginning or end), and that time had always existed. Starting with the studies of Albert Einstein in the early 1900s and continuing today, science has confirmed the biblical view that the universe had a beginning. The COsmic Background Explorer (COBE), aka Explorer 66, was a NASA space mission designed to test the Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe. It provided evidence that supported the idea that the universe had a beginning.. The Big Bang theory was initially proposed in 1946 by George Gamow, a Russian- born scientist, who believed that a primeval fireball or an intense concentration of pure energy at some finite time in the past was initiating event of the universe. Atoms: All things are made up of sub-atomic particles that are invisible to the naked eye Hebrews 11: AD Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Only in recent years has science discovered that everything we see is composed of things that we cannot see—invisible atoms. These atoms are themselves made of even smaller particles, electrons and protons, which are really not solids, but positive and negative charges of electricity. Atomic glue: Atoms have a dense center called the nucleus, made up of protons which have positive charges and neutrons which have no electrical charge at all. One law of electricity is that like charges repel one another. The the protons inside the nucleus are all positively charged, so they should repel one another and scatter, but for some reason they do not. Colossians 1: For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; The so called strong and weak nuclear forces, which physicists do not understand, bind the atom’s nucleus together and regulates atomic radiation levels. The Bible states that “all things consist” –are held together by the Creator – Jesus Christ. The author of the books of Hebrews wrote about atomic structure, whether he specifically understood it or not, nearly 2000 years before it was discovered by scientists. An Initial Void: A Time Magazine article dated Dec said “Most cosmologists… scientists who study the structure and evolution of the universe, agree that the biblical account of creation, in imagining an initial void, may be uncannily close to the truth.” [Emphasis Added] Adding “… in 1929, when Astronomer Edwin Hubble used shifts in the spectral lines of light emanating from distant galaxies to calculate that the islands of stars are moving at tremendous speeds away from the earth − and from each other − like dots painted on the surface of an expanding balloon. To some scientists, this outward rush of the galaxies suggested an original cosmic explosion”. Edwin Hubble showed that distant galaxies were, receding from the earth, and the further away they were, the faster they were moving, which leads to an interesting conclusion… the earth is the center of God's attention in the universe.

The 1st Law of Thermodynamics
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them (Genesis 2:1). The orginial Hebrew uses the past definite tense for the verb "finished," indicating an action completed in the past , never again to occur. The 1st Law of Thermodynamics states that matter can be neither created nor destroyed, and that the amount of matter and energy in the universe remains constant – it can be exchanged, one for the other, but neither created nor destroyed. If the First Law is correct, and every scientific measurement ever made has confirmed that it is, then the universe could not have created itself in the past or be creating itself today. It must have been created in the past with no further creating must be going on and there must be no loss of the creation occurring . The 1st Law of Thermodynamics
Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. This law (often referred to as the Low of the Conservation of Energy and/or Mass) states that neither matter nor energy can be either created or destroyed. One form of energy or matter may be converted into another, but the total quantity always remains the same. This Law caused Sir Fred Hoyle's "Steady-State" (or "Continuous Creation") Theory to be discarded. Hoyle stated that at points in the universe called "irtrons," matter (or energy) was constantly being created. But, the First Law states just the opposite. The Hebrew word used in Genesis 2:1 is the past definite tense for the verb "finished," -- an action completed in the past, never again to occur. The creation was "finished" -- once and for all. There is no "creation" ongoing today. It is "finished" exactly as the Bible states. There is no "creation" ongoing today. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics
Historically most people believed the universe was unchangeable. The Second Law of Thermodynamics (the Law of Increasing Entropy) states that in all physical processes, everything in the universe, every ordered system over time is running down, deteriorating, constantly becoming more disordered. Rudolf (Julius Emanuel) Clausius formulated the Second Law of Thermodynamics in 1850. This law was regarded by Albert Einstein to be the premier Law in science. Evolution directly contradicts this law. Three different places in the Bible indicate that the earth is wearing out. Ps 102:25-26 ~1000 BC Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. [26] They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: Isa 51: BC Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. Heb 1: AD They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; The universe is running down and wearing out and will eventually "wear out" to the extent that (if God does not intervene) there will be a "heat death“; no more available energy . Again the Bible is the only religious book to accurately describe this Law: Entropy (disorder) entered when mankind rebelled against God – resulting in the curse (Genesis 3:17; Romans 8:20-22). An Expanding Universe:
During the early 20th century, most scientists (including Einstein) believed the universe was static. In 1929, astronomer Edwin Hubble showed that distant galaxies were receding from the earth, and the further away they were, the faster they were moving. It caused Einstein to admit his mistake. Because of Hubble’s findings, today, most astronomers agree with what the Creator told us thousands of years ago – the universe is expanding! Reference Written B.C. Space is Empty: Job, living in an ancient culture that knew nothing about space or planets, asserted that God hung the earth on nothing (1500 B.C.) -- the earth free floats in space. He stretches out the north over empty space; he hangs the earth on nothing [Job 26:7] Until recently scientists believed space consisted of a hypothetical substance called Ether. Ether, or luminiferous Ether, was an imaginary substance through which electromagnetic waves travel. It was first proposed by the greek philosopher Aristotle and used by several optical theories as a way to allow propagation of light, which was thought to be impossible in "empty" space. It was supposed that the ether filled the whole universe and was a stationary frame of reference, which was rigid to electromagnetic waves and energy but completely permeable to matter. Hooke endorsed the idea of the existence of the ether in his work Micrographia (1665), and other several philosophers of the 17th century, including Huygens, did the same. At the time of Maxwell's mathematical studies of electromagnetism (in the 1860’s), ether was still assumed to be the propagation medium and was imbued with physics properties such as permeability and permittivity. In 1887, a crucial experiment was performed by Michelson and Edward Morley in an attempt to detect the existence of the ether. The experiment, named the Michelson-Morley experiment in honor of its authors, shocked the scientific community by yielding results which indicated that ether did not exist. This result was later used by Einstein to refute the existence of the ether which allowed him to develop special relativity without this artificial (and non-existent) constraint.

That Hole In The North Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. The universe has a huge hole in it that dwarfs anything else of its kind. This "gap" is in the Northern Hemisphere, lying in the general direction of the constellation Bootes. The discovery caught astronomers by surprise. The hole is nearly a billion light-years across. It is not a black hole, which is a small sphere of densely packed matter. Rather, this one is mostly devoid of stars, gas and other normal matter, and it's also strangely empty of the mysterious "dark matter" that permeates the cosmos. Other space voids have been found before, but nothing on this scale. This "hole in space" is a 300 million light year gap in the distribution of galaxies, has taken cosmologists by surprise, not because it exists, but because it is so big. Indeed, He stretches out the north over the empty place.

I’m really in the dark !!! Black holes and dark matter anticipated:
Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Jude 1:13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. Isaiah 50:3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering. Cosmologists now speculate that over 98% of the known universe is comprised of dark matter, with dark energy and black holes. A black hole’s gravitational field is so strong that nothing, not even light, escapes. Beyond the expanding universe there is no measured radiation and therefore only outer darkness exists. Heavens, High heavens The Bible speaks of “heaven and the highest heavens” Deut. 10: Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Long before the Hubble Space Telescope, Scripture spoke of the “heaven of heavens” and the “third heaven” (). 1 Kings 8:27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? 2 Cor. 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. We now know that the heavens consist of our immediate atmosphere and the vast reaches of outer space – as well as God’s wonderful abode.

Concentrate, don’t lose count
Jeremiah 33:22 Written BC As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me. Hebrews 11:12 Written AD Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. Genesis 15:5 Written about BC And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. At the time these were written only about 1,100 stars were visible. Science  Since the 19th Century AD, with the advent of more and more powerful telescopes, we know that there are billions of stars, but we still haven’t identified the limit of the universe. Prior to this, most thought there were no more than 5,000-6,000 stars (which is what could be seen with the naked eye from all points on the earth). There are a few Stars: The Bible frequently refers to the great number of stars in the heavens. Genesis 22: Blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. Jeremiah 33: As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me. At a time when less than 5,000 stars were visible to the human eye, God stated that the stars of heaven were innumerable. Not until the 17th century did Galileo glimpse the immensity of our universe with his new telescope. Today, astronomers estimate that there are ten thousand billion billion stars – that’s a 1 followed by 22 zeros! Even today, scientists admit that they do not know how many stars there are. I demand a recount: The number of stars, though vast, are finite (Isaiah 40:26). Although man is unable to calculate the exact number of stars, we now know their number is finite. Of course God knew this all along – “He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name” (Psalm 147:4). What an awesome God! Who’s Who ???: The first star catalogue was compiled by the Egyptian astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century. Called the Almagest, it listed the names and locations of 1,028 stars. Now, because of telescopes such as the Hubble, we know that... Stars are not spread uniformly across the universe, but are normally grouped into galaxies along with interstellar gas and dust. A typical galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars, and there are more than 100 billion (1011) galaxies in the observable universe. While it is often believed that stars only exist within galaxies, intergalactic stars have been discovered. Astronomers estimate that there are at least 70 sextillion (7×1022) stars in the observable universe. [Wikipedia]. But didn’t God already say that ?? God said to Abraham 'Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be.'(Genesis 15:5)". If at first you don’t suceed …
God said to Abraham 'Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be.'(Genesis 15:5). (Hebrews 11:12) The Bible asserts that the stars are innumerable. This does not necessarily mean that we are incapable of mathematically expressing their number. It means that no human has the ability to count them individually so as to achieve their sum. It is claimed that there are 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone. If stars were counted around the clock at one star per second, then it would take over 3,000 years just to count these. Add to this the fact that there are as many as 100 billion galaxies. There were many scholars prior to Galileo who believed that the stars could be counted, and several attempts were made to do so. Many of these counts arrived at around 1,000 stars. Psalm 8: When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?

Who are you? What’s your name?
The Bible also tells us that each star is unique. 1 Cor. 15: There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. All stars look alike to the naked eye. Even when seen through a telescope, they still seem to be just points of light. However, close examination of their lights spectra reveals that each is different from all others. Even when seen through a telescope, they seem to be just points of light. Centuries before the advent of the telescope, the Bible declared what only God and the angels knew – each star varies in size and intensity! People can perceive some slight difference in color and apparent brightness when looking at stars with the naked eye, but we would not expect a person living in the first century A.D. to claim they differ from one another. The Pleiades, Orion and Arcturus
Job was suffering, in pain, and was getting bad advice from friends. Eventually, Job accused the Lord of being unjust. God answered Job’s accusations by asking him 70 or so questions concerning the Himself and the wonders of His creation. Three of these questions found in Job 38:31-32. Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? The Pleiades star cluster is gravitationally bound, while the Orion star cluster is loose and disintegrating because the gravity of the cluster is not enough to bind the group together. 4,000 years ago God asked Job, "Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the belt of Orion?" In the last century astrophysicists have discovered that the stars of Pleiades move in unison with each other, and are thus gravitationally bound. They have also discovered that the stars of Orion are free agents that are not gravitationally bound but are flying apart.

"Canst thou ... loose the bands of Orion?"
Garrett P. Serviss, the noted astronomer, wrote about the bands of Orion12 in his book CURIOSITIES OF THE SKY. At the present time this band consists of an almost perfect straight line, a row of second-magnitude stars about equally spaced and of the most striking beauty. In the course of time, however, the two right-hand stars, Mintaka and Alnilam, will approach each other and form a naked-eye double; but the third, Alnitak, will drift away eastward so that the band will no longer exist. One star is traveling in a certain direction at a certain speed, A second one is traveling in a different direction at a second speed, and The third one is going in a third direction and at a still different speed. Actually every star in Orion is traveling its own course, independent of all the others. The stars that we see forming one of the bands of Orion are like three ships out on the high seas that happen to be in line at the present moment, but in the future will be separated by thousands of miles of ocean. All the stars that at the present time constitute the constellation of Orion are bound for different ports, and All are journeying to different corners of the universe, so that the bands are being dissolved.

Canst thou bind the sweet influence of the Pleiades…?
Isabel Lewis of the United States Naval Observatory tells us: Astronomers have identified 250 stars as actual members of this group [Pleiades], all sharing in a common motion and drifting through space in the same direction. The seven stars of the Pleiades we see are in reality a grouping of 250 blazing suns all traveling together in one common direction. Lick Observatory issued this statement from Dr. Robert J. Trumpler: Over 25,000 individual measures of the Pleiades stars are now available, and their study led to the important discovery that the whole cluster is moving in a southeasterly direction. The Pleiades stars may thus be compared to a swarm of birds, flying together to a distant goal. This leaves no doubt that the Pleiades are not a temporary or accidental agglomeration of stars, but a system in which the stars are bound together by a close kinship. The stars in the Pleiades are all bound together, like a flock of birds as they journey through space -- which is exactly the Pleiades feature that God asked Job to answer.

"Canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?"
Garrett P. Serviss wrote: Arcturus, one of the greatest suns in the universe, is a runaway whose speed of flight is 257 miles per second. Arcturus, we have every reason to believe, possesses thousands of times the mass of our sun. Think of it! Our sun is traveling only 12 ½ miles a second, but Arcturus is traveling 257 miles a second. Think then of the prodigious momentum this motion implies. Charles Burckhalter, of the Chabot Observatory said” This high velocity places Arcturus in that very small class of stars that apparently are a law unto themselves. He is an outsider, a visitor, a stranger within the gates; to speak plainly, Arcturus is a runaway. Newton gives the velocity of a star under control as not more than 25 miles a second, and Arcturus is going 257 miles a second. Therefore, combined attraction of all the stars we know cannot stop him or even turn him in his path. Mr. Burckhalter after being shown the text in the book of Job said: The study of the Book of Job and its comparison with the latest scientific discoveries has brought me to the matured conviction that the Bible is an inspired book and was written by the One who made the stars. The wonders of God’s universe never cease to amaze us. Arcturus and his sons are individual runaway suns that seem to be out of orbit in our galaxy. Traveling at such incredible speeds, why don’t they crash with other suns or planets? Where are they headed? Only God knows. God is guiding them.

The Lesson of The Pleiades, Orion, and Arcturus
Few have suffered the multiple tragedies of Job. How could God reach through the enormity of Job’s self-pity? (Job thought God just didn’t care.) In these three questions (Job 38:31, 32) God is in reality saying: Job, you think I am not concerned about your suffering. Well, let Me ask you these questions. Can you loose the bands of Orion? No, you cannot. But My Divine power will. Some day Orion will no longer exist. Job, can you bind the 250 stars of the Pleiades together in their symmetry of beauty and not have a single one drift off? Only I have this power and wisdom. Can you prevent the runaways — Arcturus and his sons — from colliding as they go dashing out of the Milky Way? No, only My Divine power and wisdom can. Job, if I am caring for the details of the universe, do you doubt that I not only care for the details of your life, but I have the ability to solve your problems? Trust that there is a good reason I am permitting these tragedies. Remember, Job, I work from the perspective of your eternal welfare. What an awesome way God chose to tell Job that He was in full control of human affairs, including Job's life!

Those Singing Stars: Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Science has discovered that stars emit radio waves, which are received on earth as a high pitch. The galaxy is full of objects that emit radio waves, including black holes and stars of various kinds.

Keep the lights on… Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. Ancient peoples were afraid of the sun, moon and stars thinking that they were alive — that they were gods. Some thought eclipses happened when the moon was mad at the earth and turned its face away. The Chinese believed that an eclipse was caused by a demon or some huge animal that ate the sun and then would give them up again. Our God states that He is the one and only God. Over 5,000 years ago, the Judeo-Christian Bible in Genesis 1 states that the sun, moon and stars were created by God. The universe created by God is completely under God’s control.

We know that a year is the time required for the earth to travel once around the sun. The seasons are caused by the changing position of the earth in relation to the sun. The moon’s phases follow one another in clock-like precision – constituting the lunar calendar . A "month [is] the time of one revolution of the moon around the earth with respect to the sun. The Bible agrees with the observable evidence. Moses (the accepted author of Genesis) 3,500 years ago knew that the "lights" of the sun and moon were the actual determining factors of the year's length. His knowledge and his words were inspired by God?

They were only half right.

As we view the sun from the earth, it appears to travel in a great circuit around the earth daily rising in the east and setting in west. For thousands of years men thought the sun revolved around the earth which was stationary in space and the center of the universe. This is called geocentricity. Scientists scoffed at this verse thinking that it taught geocentricity – the theory that the sun revolves around the earth, knowing that it was simply not true. They insisted the sun was stationary in space and that the earth revolved around the sun which was stationary in space. They were only half right. What we cannot see from the earth is that the sun is moving through space in a huge orbit in the Milky Way galaxy. It was just recently discovered that the Sun is moving through space at about 600,000 miles per hour, in an orbit that would take an estimated 230,000,000 years to complete – just as the Bible stated over 3,000 years ago!

The word translated “circle” here is the Hebrew word chuwg which is also translated “circuit,” or “compass” (depending on the context). It indicates something spherical, rounded, or arched—not something that is flat or square. "He [God] set a compass [circle] upon the face of the deep." Proverbs 8:27. Luke 17:34-36, written about 60 AD, I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. [35] Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [36] Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. This depicts Christ's Second Coming as happening while some are asleep at night and others are working at day-time activities (morning and afternoon), an indication of a rotating earth with day and night at the same time - daytime on one side, while it is yet night time on the other.

Aristotle provided observational evidence for the spherical Earth around 330 BC, but most pre- Socratic philosophers, including Leucippus (c.440 BC) and Democritus (c BC) believed in a flat earth. The Greek mathematician Eratostenes accurately calculated the earth's circumference in the third century before Christ. Yet, for thousands of years people believed the earth was flat. If one went too far, he would fall over the edge. This was taught in both Hindu and Buddhist scripture. By the time of Christopher Columbus (c.1480 AD), he and most other educated persons of their time, knew that the earth was round. In the 1500s, the first ship sailed around the world. Job 26: He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. Job 26:10 clearly refers to the line of demarcation between day and night. Such a view of the curved horizon at sunrise or sunset can only be seen from extremely high altitudes reached only by military jets and spacecraft. These writers were given a view of the Earth as a sphere long before Eratosthenes--by measuring shadows in Egyptian wells--determined that the earth was round in 240BC. Although there is a specific Hebrew word for "sphere," the word used in these passages ("khug") can mean both circle or sphere. Crusty old thing The Bible describes the Earth’s crust (along with a comment on astronomy). Air Has Weight: Job 28: BC or earlier To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure. 4,000 years ago Job declared that God established “a weight for the wind.” The fact that air has weight was scientifically discovered about 300 years ago. Mathematician Evangelista Torricelli discovered this in 1643. In recent years, meteorologists have calculated that the average thunderstorm holds thousands of tons of rain. To carry this load, air must have mass. The relative weights of air and water are needed for the efficient functioning of the world’s hydrologic cycle, which in turn sustains life on the earth. The fact that so much water covers the earth means that the effects of the sun and moon's gravity are balanced perfectly. Air Currents: Ecclesiastes 1:6 935 BC The wind goes toward the south, And turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, And comes again on its circuit. King Solomon wrote this 3,000 years ago. The Bible describes the circulation of the atmosphere. The Jet Stream was first discovered by airmen during WW II. At the time it was thought that the winds blew in straight lines. Look at a graphical representation of the jet stream and you'll see it matches the Bible's description very nicely. The Scriptures describe a "cycle" of air currents two thousand years before scientists described them. We now know that air around the earth turns in huge circles, clockwise in one hemisphere and counter-clockwise in the other.

The Path of Light Job 38: BC or earlier Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof, Light travels in a path, darkness does not. Darkness is what is left when light is separated out from it. Light is said to have a “way” [Hebrew: derek, literally a traveled path or road]. Until the 17th century it was believed that light was transmitted instantaneously. Modern man has only recently discovered that light (electromagnetic radiation) has a "way," traveling at 186,000 miles per second in a straight line – but now we’re not so sure about the straight line part…. Talking Lightning? Job 38: BC or earlier Can you send lightnings, that they may go, and say to you, Here we are? The Bible is making what appears to be a scientifically ludicrous statement — that light can be sent, and then be heard as speech. Radio waves travel at the speed of light? - lightning fast ! This is why you can have instantaneous wireless communication with someone on the other side of the earth. Science didn’t discover this until 1864 when a British scientist named James Clerk Maxwell suggested that electricity and light waves were two forms of the same thing – electromagnetic waves. Radio waves and light are electromagnetic radiation operating at different frequencies. The fact that light can be sent and speak is even more true today with our use of fiber optics. Using transmitters and receivers, today we can send electromagnetic radiation at lightning speed which speak when they arrive.

Watch it… Modern communications, radio, TV and satellite communications were not discovered until this century. Weather or not ??? In ancient times, most religious scripture taught that lightning bolts were missiles thrown in anger by their gods. In Confucius scripture, the goddess of lightning, Tien Mu, flashed light on intended victims to enable Lei Kung, the god of thunder to launch his deadly bolts accurately. In China, Taoist scripture regarded the rainbow as a deadly rain dragon. Since rain is so necessary to life, ancient people pondered what caused it. Some tried to stab holes in the clouds with spears. The Vedas (Hindu scripture) advised to tie a frog with its mouth open to the right tree and say the right words and rain would fall. The Judeo-Christian Bible teaches that earth’s seasons and weather follows rules and cycles. This was documented some 4,000 + years ago by Moses… Genesis 8:22. The Hydrologic Cycle: The complete water cycle was not fully understood by science until the 17th century. More than 2,000 years before the discoveries of Pierre Perrault, Edme Mariotte, Edmund Halley, and others, the Scriptures spoke of a water cycle. Meteorologists now understand that the hydrological cycle consists of evaporation, atmospheric transportation, distillation, and precipitation. In the air, the vapor condenses into tiny droplets of liquid water - the clouds. Water evaporates from the liquid on the earth into a gas held in the atmosphere. These grow in size finally coalescing into drops large enough to overcome the updrafts that suspend them in the air and they pour down on the earth as rain, hail, or snow… The Hydrologic Cycle: The falling liquid water gathers in the rivers and lakes or seeps into the ground to reappear as springs all eventually feeding into the seas.

Isaiah 43: BC Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; The Bible says that the oceans have circulating currents or 'paths‘. Dr. Matthew Maury ( ), an officer in the United States Navy, is considered one of the founders of the science of oceanography. He wrote the first book on oceanography titled “The Physical Geography of the Sea and Its Meteorology”. After an accident partially disabled him ending his active duty with the Navy, he was appointed superintendent of the US Naval Observatory in Washington. He became known as "the pathfinder of the seas“, the father of modern navigation He was a “creationist” who believed in the absolute authority and accuracy of the Bible. One day while he was sick in bed, he asked his son to read the Bible to him. One of the verses his son read was Psalms 8:8. Believing that the Bible must be correct about these "paths", he set out to find them.

The Paths Of The Seas: Maury discovered that the oceans have many paths or currents, which were like rivers flowing through the sea. He studied old ships’ logs from which he compiled charts of ocean-wind and sea currents. To study the speed and direction of the ocean currents Maury set adrift weighted bottles. They floated just below the surface of the water and so were not affected by winds. Instructions sealed in each bottle directed anyone who found one of the bottles when it washed ashore to return it to Maury. From the locations and dates on which the bottles were found, Maury was able to develop his charts of the ocean currents—the ‘paths’ of the seas. As a result, Dr. Maury was the first in modern times to discover that the seas were circulating systems with interaction between wind and water which greatly aided the science of marine navigation reducing sailing times and incidents greatly. Jonah, ~2,800 years ago, and David, who probably never saw an ocean even from the beach, spoke of the valleys and mountains of the sea thousands of years before scientists discovered them. Pre-1900 geologists thought the ocean floor was a smooth, sandy bottomed, saucer shape. Then in the early 1900s oceanographers found the sea had many deep valleys or canyons. The deepest canyons were called trenches. The greatest ocean depth has been sounded in the Challenger Deep of the Mariana's Trench, a distance of 35,798 feet below sea level. Mount Everest is 29,035 feet high. If Mt. Everest was dropped into it, it’s peak would be a mile below the water surface. There are also a multitude of rough underwater mountains and mountain ranges. Springs Under The Seas: Hydrothermal vents

There are springs rise up through the ocean floor The earliest secular references to these springs was by the Roman geographer Strabo, who lived from 63 BC to 21 AD Until recently, however, scientists still thought that the oceans were fed only by rivers and rain. The first underwater spring discovered was probably in Scientists found hot springs at a depth of 2.5 km on the Galapagos Rift, a spreading tectonic ridge off the coast of Ecuador. Many other hot springs have been found at many sites along the mid-oceanic ridges. Hydrothermal vents are found in areas of the ocean floor that are spreading, such as at mid- ocean ridges, where tectonic plates are being pulled apart. Molten magma rises from deep inside the Earth, superheats the cold ocean water around the vent which then under high pressure rises through cracks in the earth’s crust into the sea. The average temperature of deep-ocean water is only 2°C (36°F). The water coming out of a hydrothermal vent can be tp to 350°C (662°F) and is rich in dissolved chemicals. This is an accurate description of one of several species of dinosaur families – some would say the legendary ‘dragon’.

Noah's Ark: Boat building 101
Many cultures have flood legends similar to the account in the Bible, but their ark descriptions were never sea worthy. The Babylonian Gilgamesh Flood legend described an ark that was shaped like a cube - horribly for unstable – it roll in the water constantly tossed about. 4,500+ years ago God gave Noah the dimensions of the 1.5 million ft3 ark he was to build. Mankind is made in God's "image." As human beings, we are aware of our "being." God is "I AM," and we know that "we are." We have understanding that we exist. What animal gazes with awe at a sunset, or at the magnificence of the Grand Canyon? What animal obtains joy from the sounds of music or takes the time to form itself into an orchestra to create and harmonize music? Man has the ability to uncover the hidden laws of electricity. We can utilize the law of aerodynamics to transport ourselves around the globe. We unearth the hidden treasures of gold, silver, diamonds, and oil and make use of them for our own benefit. We also have the God-given ability to appreciate the value of creation. Only humans have the unique capability to appreciate God for this incredible creation and to respond to His love. In fact the Torah not only reveals advanced principles and knowledge about hygiene, quarantine and sanitation far superior to that possessed by the Egyptians and other ancient societies of that day, but far exceeded medical standards practiced as recently as 100 years ago.

Sanitary Practices in The 19th Century
Medical knowledge was abysmal right up to the beginning of the 20th century. Until this century, medical science do not fully understand that most diseases are caused by infection of microscopic organisms. The medical value of sterilization, sanitation, and quarantines were virtually unknown. In the 1840s, puerperal or childbirth fever, a bacterial infection of the female genital tract after childbirth, was taking the lives of up to 30% of women who gave birth in hospitals. Women who gave birth at home remained relatively unaffected. Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis ( ), a Hungarian obstetrician educated at the universities of Pest and Vienna was an assistant professor on the maternity ward of the Vienna General Hospital. He observed that women examined by student doctors who had not washed their hands after leaving the autopsy room had very high death rates. When a colleague received a scalpel cut and died of infection, Semmelweis concluded that puerperal fever was septic and contagious and that he and the medical students carried "cadaverous particles" on their hands. He ordered students to wash their hands with chlorinated lime before examining patients; as a result, the maternal death rate was reduced from 12% to 1% in 2 years.

Some doctors were offended at Semmelweis’ suggestion that they should wash their hands. It was beneath their social status as gentlemen to believe that their hands could be unclean. The existence of germs was unknown until around A.D when Louis Pasteur demonstrated in his Germ Theory of Disease that most infectious diseases were caused by microorganisms originating from outside the body. Pasteur was not the first to propose germ theory but he developed it and conducted experiments that clearly indicated it was correct He managed to convince most of the European medical community that it was true. This new understanding of germs and their means of transmission led to improved sanitary standards that resulted in an enormous drop in the mortality rate. These core principles of sanitation were being practiced by the Israelites thousands of years earlier.

Sanitary Practices in Moses’ Time
(See Numbers 19, Leviticus 11 and 15, Deuteronomy 23:12). This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days. And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean. And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days. Num 19:14-16 Israelites were instructed to wash themselves and their clothes in running water if they had a bodily discharge, if they came in contact with another person's discharge, or if they had touched a dead human or animal carcass. They were also instructed to wash any uncovered vessels that were in the vicinity of a dead body, and if a dead carcass touched a vessel it was to be destroyed.

Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holy place. But the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a brasen pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water. Lev 6:27-28 The is a commandment to discard used pottery that may be contaminated with bacteria while metal pots should be disinfected by scouring and rinsing in water. "And when he that has an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself even days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean" Lev 15:13 Until recent years, doctors washed their hands in a bowl of water, leaving invisible germs on their hands. However, the Bible says specifically to wash hands under "running water." Items recovered during war were also to be purified through either fire or running water.

The Minoan Civilization
The Minoan Civilization was a peaceful trade civilization which arose on the island of Crete, and lasted from approximately 2700 to 1450 BC. It is widely considered to be the foundation of European civilization. (Note: There is archeological evidence of human sacrifice and canabilism.) The Minoan Palace of Knossos on the isle of Crete featured four separate drainage systems that emptied into the great sewers constructed of stone. Terra cotta pipe was laid beneath the palace floor, hidden from view. … It provided water for fountains and faucets of marble, gold and silver that jetted hot and cold running water. Located in the palace latrine was the world's first flushing "water closet" or toilet, with a wooden seat and a small reservoir of water. The existence of the device was lost for thousands of years amid the rubble of flood and decay. These discoveries were made in the Palace of Knossos which was built gradually between and 1400 BC. If the Minoan’s had the ability to build a palace with Frescoes and a Throne Room and Aqueducts that brought fresh water from springs about 10 km away, they should be able to fashion a toilet (a seat over drain flushed by pouring water from a jug). Pompeii, Pompeii, the ruined and partially buried Roman town-city near modern Naples was destroyed, and completely buried, during a long catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius spanning two days in AD 79. Excavations reveal a large forum in the center of the city, including public baths, a small theater, a large theater, temples, grand villas and 33 bakeries… Water closets were in vogue in Pompeii, and archaeologists have found ancient closets in the back of one palace, including a cistern to flush water to the different seats. Near the palace kitchen they also found an arched recess approximately three feet deep. Although the actual wood had long disappeared, archaeologists say they could still see outlines of hinges for the privy seats. While these snapshots of Roman life in the 1st century show a method of disposing of waste ,it also depicted an abysmal lack of any form of separation of food and waste. The kitchen's brick oven sat 4 feet from the privy. To the efficient Romans who had no inkling of germs, the proximity allowed the easy disposal of both scraps and excrete. The Israelites, who did not live in palaces or towns, but in tents in the desert still had a better system in which their excrement was kept far away from their food.

The Romans While it is true that bathing was very important to the Romans and that they built numerous public bathhouses in the cities and towns throughout the empire which operated like community centers, there is another aspect to these famous baths.. At first, the Roman baths opened only during the daylight hours, which allowed for the emptying and refilling of the water at night – at least once a day. This helped matters somewhat, in that hundreds would use the same pools of stagnant, germ-ridden, unfiltered, fetid water. The dawn of scientific discovery would not be for hundreds more years. Leprosy and Plague: The laws against leprosy in Leviticus 13 are regarded as the first model of sanitary legislation and quarantine And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean. All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be. [Leviticus 13:45-46]. Leprosy and Plague is characterized by disfiguring skin sores, nerve damage, and progressive debilitation. Few diseases have provoked more stigma than leprosy, unique in its ability to generate fear. When the Bible speaks of “leprosy”, it is unknown whether it is referring to what we understand as leprosy (Hansen’s disease) which, left untreated, has debilitating and well known symptoms usually characterized by disfigured limbs, of which Scripture says nothing. It is quite possible that Biblical leprosy may have included Hansen’s disease.

Leprosy and Plague: Leprosy in Scripture seems to cover a wider range of infectious diseases (also called plague in Scripture). Diagnosing it could get quite complicated [See Leviticus 13 and 14]. The general rule was to quarantine the individual suspected of having contracted leprosy -sometimes for just seven days. Careful observation was then made to see if the plague was healed and if it was, the person was declared clean after a ceremony involving two birds and a further seven days of living outside the camp. Infected garments were to be burned if the disease had spread after seven days, otherwise they could be washed twice. True leprosy was incurable before the advent of modern drugs and moderen medical thinking is that it is not all that infectious. Leprosy research scientists still do not completely understand how leprosy spreads, although people who live within the same household as a person with untreated leprosy have an eight-fold increased risk of developing leprosy. Leprosy and Plague: Leviticus 13 and 14 mention the ‘marks’ of leprosy on walls and on garments and the priests were instructed to burn the garments of leprosy victims! Leviticus 13:52 He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woollen or in linen, or any thing of skin, wherein the plague is: for it is a fretting leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire. Many thought this was a quite silly example of overkill… M. leprae is a hardy organism and can survive outside the body for up to 45 days. Both nasal secretions and skin from untreated MB cases of leprosy are capable of shedding M. leprae to the environment, which may be deposited on either or both the nasal and skin epithelia of contacts with the potential for initiating infection. This is why there are very strict commands in the Bible about how to deal with leprosy and other infectious diseases. During the devastating Black Death of the 14th century, patients who were sick or dead were kept in the same rooms as the rest of the family. People often wondered why the disease was affecting so many people at one time. They attributed these epidemics to ‘bad air’ or ‘evil spirits.’ Careful and earlier attention to the medical commands of God as revealed in Leviticus would have saved untold millions of lives.

Don’t be a Pest Pest control  Leviticus 25:1-24
Today farmers are plagued with insects. God gave a sure-fire remedy to control pests centuries ago. Moses commanded Israel to set aside one year in seven when no crops were raised. Insects winter in the stalks of last year’s harvest, hatch in the spring, and are perpetuated by laying eggs in the new crop. If the crop is denied one year in seven, the pests have nothing to subsist upon, and are thereby controlled.

Soil conservation Lev 23:22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God. God instructed farmers to leave the gleanings when reaping their fields, and not to reap the corners (sides) of their fields. This served several purposes: Vital soil minerals would be maintained. The hedge row would limit wind erosion. The poor could eat the gleanings. Note that the poor were not simply given a handout. They had to be willing to reap what was left in the field for their benefit. Today, approximately four billion metric tons of soil are lost from U.S. crop lands each year. Much of this soil depletion could be avoided if God’s commands were followed.

God has given us the leaves of the trees as medicine. Ezekiel 47:12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. Rev. 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Ancient cultures utilized many herbal remedies. Modern medicine has rediscovered what the Bible has said all along – there are healing compounds found in plants. Luke 10:34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. Jesus told of a Samaritan man, who when he came upon a wounded traveler, he bandaged him – pouring upon his wounds olive oil and wine. Wine contains ethyl alcohol and traces of methyl alcohol and olive oil is a disinfectant, a skin moisturizer, protector, and soothing lotion. Both are good disinfectants. During the Middle Ages up until the early 20th century millions died because they did not know to treat, disinfect, and protect open wounds.

Dietary Guidelines By the 1980s, all the health organizations of the United States had adopted low-fat, high fiber dietary guidelines. This was the culmination of numerous scientific studies that had demonstrated that diets high in vegetables, fruits, and grains reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, and many other diseases. Something’s fishy… Leviticus 11: These you may eat, whatever is in the water: all that have fins and scales, those in the water, in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat. But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you, and they shall be abhorrent to you; you may not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses you shall detest. Whatever in the water does not have fins and scales is abhorrent to you. Scripture states that we should avoid those sea creatures which do not have fins or scales. We now know that bottom-feeders tend to consume waste and are likely to carry disease.

Pray – not prey !!! Leviticus 11: And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, [14] And the vulture, and the kite after his kind; [15] Every raven after his kind; [16] And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, [17] And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, [18] And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle, [19] And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. Scientists now recognize that those birds which eat carrion (putrefying flesh), often spread disease.

You are what you eat, you swine !!!
Deut. 14:8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase. Not so long ago, science learned that eating undercooked pork causes an infection of parasites called trichinosis. The Bible forbid the eating of swine more than 3,000 years before we learned how to cook pork safely.

Modern science reveals that consuming raw blood is dangerous.

A common ritual in many religions in the ancient world was to drink blood. The Creator repeatedly told His people to abstain from blood. Leviticus 3: It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood. The American Heart Association says: "The major kinds of fat in the foods we eat are saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, and trans fatty acids. Saturated fats, trans fats and dietary cholesterol raise blood cholesterol. A high level of cholesterol in the blood is a major risk factor for coronary heart disease, which leads to heart attack. “ The University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center stated: "The fourth most common cause of cancer among men may be related to saturated fat consumption." In Leviticus 7:22-24 we are told, "And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, You shall eat no manner of fat, or ox, or of sheep, or of goat.“

Road Kill Exo 22:31 And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs. Lev 22:8 That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the Lord. Today we understand that a decaying carcass is full of disease causing germs. Thousands of years before modern science identified bacteria, God made provision for Israel by banning the eating of meat that may be spoiled or contaminated by bacteria.

Lev 19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. The Little Bang – Nuclear Weapons
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat." (2 Peter 3:10-12) Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. It is impossible for people in the 1st century and earlier to have known anything about the Atom Bomb. Ernest Rutherford (who received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1908) first split the atom in 1917.

The Apostle Peter certainly did describe it well – and he was not alone… "Now this will be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth." Zech 14:12 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood; Rev 6:12 This describes the phenomena that results from massive amounts of dust and debris being blown into the atmosphere. And the atmosphere was pushed apart like a scroll when it is rolled together Rev 6:14 In a nuclear explosion the atmosphere rolls back on itself. It's this tremendous rush of air back into the vacuum caused by the blast field that causes much of the destruction of a nuclear explosion. Whether all this is the result of a single event to a series of event closely following each other is irrelevant – they will happen – they are horrible – and the Bible writers could not have described the effects today’s technology so accurately and so completely, almost 3,000 years ago, without God given knowledge.

While Peter, John, and Zechariah did not use terms like "nuclear weapons, ICBM's, or fractional orbital bombs“, they did use descriptions of the after effects of nuclear blasts using terms they knew and were familiar with to describe what they saw... the atmosphere parting like a scroll (Rev 6:14) the elements melting with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:10-12) the earth and the heavens “dissolved” by fire (2 Peter 3:10-12) great earthquakes (Rev 6:12) men’s flesh will rotting on their feet where they stand (Zech 14:12) their eyes rotting in their sockets (Zechariah 14:12) their tongues rotting in their mouths. (Zechariah 14:12) the poisoning of the waters (Revelation 8:11), the severe reduction in visibility (Revelation 8:12), hail and fire, a great mountain burning with fire a great star... burning like a torch the death of much of the earth's vegetation (Revelation 8:7), malignant sores on men (Revelation 16:2), the end of ocean life (Revelation 16:3), and the inability of the atmosphere to block out harmful ultraviolet rays resulting in severe burns (Revelation 16:8) all expected results of nuclear war and/or massive eruptions and/or global earthquakes...

Who’s gonna clean up this mess…
Ezek 38: written over 2,500 years ago "And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land… And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. And the passengers that pass through the land, when any sees a man's bones, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog." Before nuclear warfare, this portion of the Bible would have made no sense to the reader. even the weapons left by the enemy will have to be burned. (Ezek 39:9) it will take full time, specially trained personnel 7 months to bury the dead v.14 The Scriptures match the US Army field manuals exactly concerning the method of burial. When even a bone is found by searchers, a special marker is to be placed near the bone until the buriers have buried it. Seems to be a clear reference to radioactive contamination after the nuclear war.

Tanks allot !!! Joel 2:1-10 This vision (which seems to entail flame-throwing tank warfare) was given to Joel approximately 2,800 years ago. The prophet uses the only thing he has seen in battle in his day - horse-drawn chariots - to describe what he has seen. But think of modern warfare. Horse chariots can’t do what Joel describes: fire goes before them (v.3); they burn what is behind them (v.3); they destroy everything in their path (v.3); they move at the speed of a horse (30-40 mph, v.4); their rumbling sounds like the noise of many chariots and the roar of a fire (v.5); they climb over walls (v.7) they don't break ranks (v.7); the sword can't stop them (v.8); they climb into houses (v.9); and they make the earth quake (v.10)

2,000 year long labor and delivery
Isaiah 66:7-8 (700. B.C.) Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. [8] Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. In 1912 the League of Nations gave Great Britain the mandate (political authority) over Palestine. On May 14, 1948, Britain withdrew her mandate, and the nation of Israel was "born in a day." No sooner had Israel been born and her children, spread all of the earth in 2,000 years of diaspora (dispersion) began to return to the mother land. There are more than 25 Bible prophecies concerning Israel, Palestine, and the land that have been literally fulfilled. Probability estimations conclude that the chances of these being randomly fulfilled are less than one chance in 33 million.

As God closes out this age in preparing and leading to the arrival of Jesus Christ there will be: the gospel will be preached in all the world. false prophets who will deceive many; lawlessness (forsaking of the Ten Commandments). earthquakes in various places; signs from heaven (in the sun, moon, and stars); persecution against Christians in all nations hatred of those who stand up for righteousness; men's hearts will fail them for fear of the future; men will be selfish, materialistic, arrogant, proud. false Christs; wars and rumors of wars; false Bible teachers will have many followers, men will be money-hungry, men will scoff and say that there was no such thing as the flood of Noah and that these "signs" have always been around. their motivation for hating the truth will be their lust, rebellion, and pride The Scriptures tell us, however, that their understanding of God is erroneous. They don't understand that God's time frame is not the same as ours. They think that God's continued silence means that He doesn't exist or doesn’t see their sins. The truth is that God is merely holding back His wrath, waiting for them to repent and escape the damnation of hell. (These are combined from Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21; 1 Timothy 4; and 2 Timothy 3). will slander the Christian faith nation rising against nations; famines; disease (pestilence); homosexuality will increase; blasphemy; cold-heartedness; intemperance; brutality; rebellious youths; ungodliness; pleasure-seeking; much hypocrisy.

The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming …
A number of books of the Bible speak of future events. Ezekiel 38 (written approximately 600 B.C.) prophecies that in these times ("the latter days," v.16), Russia (referred to as the "Prince of Rosh“ will combine with Iran, Libya (in Hebrew called "Put"), communistic Ethiopia (in Hebrew called "Cush"), and several other militant Muslim nations to attack Israel (vv.5-8). This invasion which occurs while Israel is dwelling in peace (v.11), will be turned back by God. Strangely, the militant nations bordering Israel are not listed. However, the missing nations are referred to in Psalm 83, which may be a prophetic indication of their destruction in a prior war shortly before the was described in Ezekiel The Bible gives the Russian reasoning for and the direction of the attack (vv ) It will be to take spoil from Israel who will at the time be one of the richest nations on the earth. (Check the national and personal debt of the USA and the EU…)

The whole Middle East conflict is caused by their dwelling together.
I told you so … Genesis 16: And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. God said this about Ishmael (the progenitor of the Arabs race; see Time, April 4, 1988) Now almost 4,000 years later, who could deny that this prophecy is being fulfilled in the Middle East? The Arabs and the Jews are "brethren" having Abraham as their common ancestor. The whole Middle East conflict is caused by their dwelling together.

I’ll be back … In the Book of Daniel the Bible prophesized the coming of the one and only Jewish Messiah prior to the temple's demise. The Old Testament prophets declared He would: be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) to a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12-13), die by crucifixion (Psalm 22), and be buried in a rich man's tomb (Isaiah 53:9). There was only one person who fits all of the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament (over 100 in all) who lived before A.D. 70; Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Mary The Son of God…

A perfect score, no misses …
Zech. 9:4 Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire. Ezekiel 26: And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. The Scriptures predicted the - rise and fall of great empires like Greece and Rome (Daniel 2:39-40), and - foretold the destruction of cities like Tyre and Sidon (Isaiah: 23). Tyre's demise is recorded by ancient historians, who tell how Alexander the Great lay siege to the city for seven months. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had failed in a 13-year attempt to capture the seacoast city and completely destroy its inhabitants. During Alexander’s siege in 573 B.C., much of the population of Tyre moved to its new island home approximately half a mile from the land city. Here it remained surrounded by walls as high as 150 feet until judgment fell in 332 B.C., with the arrival of Alexander the Great.

In the 7-month siege, Alexander fulfilled the remainder of the prophecies concerning the city at sea by completely destroying Tyre, killing 8,000 of its inhabitants and selling 30,000 of its population into slavery. To reach the island, he scraped up the dust and rubble of the land city of Tyre, just like the Bible predicted and cast them into the sea, building a 200-foot-wide causeway out to the island.

Alexander's death and the murder of his two sons were foretold in the Scripture. Another startling prophecy was Jesus' detailed prediction of Jerusalem's destruction, and the further spreading of the Jewish diaspora throughout the world, which is recorded in Luke 21. In A.D. 70 the Temple in Jerusalem destroyed by Titus, the future emperor of Rome, Matthew 24: And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. [2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. In ~ A.D. 130, the entire city of Jerusalem was destroyed by Rome. Millions of the inhabitants were killed. The city was leveled. The remaining Jews were deported and forbidden by Rome to live in their God given homeland.

What is truth? Me-They, Here-There, Now-Then
We define "here" as being where we are. Everything and everyone else is "they“ and everywhere else is “there” Each of us thinks in a way that place us at the center of the universe. Define "now" for me; when is it now? You can't - - The split second that you try to pinpoint "now," it’s already in the “past”, it has become "then.“ You may be thinking that there are still some things that we can still be sure of The sun still rises, the sky is still blue, and "up" is still "up." But, not true !! The sun never rises. The earth turns, giving us the illusion that the sun is rising, although it remains still (it seems to be still, but it is actually moving through the universe). The sky isn't blue. It has no color. “Up" is not really up. In fact, if everyone on the earth pointed to where we thought was "up," we would all point in different directions. Remember that the earth is round. When someone at the North Pole points up they are pointing down to someone at the South Pole.

Me-They, Here-There, Now-Then
So many things that we think are absolutes are not. History has shown us that even what science defines as truth today may be laughed at in one hundred years. The Bible doesn't attempt to defend its inspiration. Genesis simply opens with the words "God said." It repeats these words 9 times in Genesis 1. The phrase "The Lord spoke" is used 560 times in the first 5 books of the Bible and at least 3,800 times in the whole of the New Testament. Isaiah claims at least 40 times that his message came directly from God; Ezekiel make the same claim 60 times and Jeremiah, 100 times. Most people are not aware that the Bible was written over a period of 1,600 years by more than 40 authors who wrote on 3 different continents in 3 different languages. Most of the writers never met each other and Most never saw the writings of the others. They spoke on hundreds of controversial subjects and yet the words they penned all agree and are in harmony with all the other’s writings.

Suffer … The cause of suffering revealed (Genesis 3; Isaiah 24:5-6).
The earth is subject to misery, which appears at odds with our wonderfully designed universe. The Bible, not evolution, explains the origin of suffering. When mankind rebelled against God, the curse resulted – introducing affliction, pain and death into the world. The solution to suffering – Jesus coming again!! Creating heaven on earth. (Revelation 21). Neither evolution nor religion offers a solution to suffering. But God offers heaven as a gift to all who trust in His Son. In heaven, “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

“The soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:20).
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. If we live long enough we all eventually die. “The soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:20). Sin is transgression of God’s Law. It is knowing to do right but not doing it… Have you ever lied? (White lies and fibs count.) Then you are a lier. Ever stolen? (Cheating on a test or taxes is stealing.) Then you are a thief. Jesus said that “whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28). Have you ever looked with lust? Then you’re an adulterer at heart. Have you ever hated someone or called someone a fool? If so, the Bible says you are guilty of murder (Matthew 5:21-22; 1 John 3:15). Have you ever used your Creator’s name (Lord, God, Jesus, or Christ) in vain? This is called blasphemy – and God hates it. If you have broken these commandments at any time, then by your own admission, you are a blasphemer, a murderer, an adulterer, a thief, and a liar at heart. And we have only looked at five of the Ten Commandments. (please review God’s 10 Commandments (Exodus 20).) This is why we die.

I wanna live … John 3: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Scientists search in vain for the cure for aging and death. The good news is that God, who is the source of all life, has made a way to freely forgive us so that we may live forever with Him in heaven. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God desires a loving, eternal relationship with each person – free from sin, fear, and pain. He sent His Son to die as our substitute on the cross. Romans 6: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus alone qualified to pay the penalty for our sins on the cross. He died in our place. He then rose from the grave defeating death. All who turn from their sins and trust Him will be saved. To repent and place your trust in Jesus Christ, make Psalm 51 your prayer. Then read your Bible daily, obeying what you read. God will never let you down.
