3. What is an Early College High School?
A small school designed for students to earn a diploma and an Associate’s degree simultaneously
Improves high school graduation rates
Prepares all students for high-skill careers
Engages students in a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum
Greatly eases the transition from high school to college and enhances the chances for the completion of a four-year degree

4. Collegiate Academy Basics…
Courses taught by GCISD high school teachers and TCC-NE professors
Collegiate Academy is a “stand alone” campus with its own teachers, leader, schedule, campus ID number, etc.
Transportation is provided (Buses pick up Collegiate Academy students from the four GCISD middle schools)
Lunch available through GCISD Nutrition Services
Students do not pay for tuition, fees or textbooks
Highly qualified teachers with demonstrated success providing accelerated instruction to at-risk students
Support structures:
college-going culture
personalized learning including tutoring, mentoring
extracurricular, and cultural activities

Serves students in grades 9-12
100 students per grade
Will serve 400 students by the 2017/2018 school year.
Accepts Freshmen only
Includes a focus on (but is not limited to):
Students underrepresented in higher education
Students open to a different kind of high school experience
First-Generation College Goers
Any student with a passion or desire to learn!
