Transparent materials transmit light. You can see things on the other side of the material.

5 Translucent materials scatter light
Translucent materials scatter light. Things on the other side of the material look blurry.

6 Opaque material reflects or absorbs all the light that hits it
Opaque material reflects or absorbs all the light that hits it. You can’t see through it.
