Felix of Nola, devout Christian, fled through the mountains pursued by their enemies. He came to a cave and took refuge in it. A spider wove a cloth that covered the entrance to the cave. The pursuers continued to see the web long. Then Felix said: "Where God is, the web a wall; and where God is not, the wall is only a web."
