9 Addictions Can Be Broken By:
1. The grace of God The grace of God is not just the guarantee of forgiveness if we fall, it is the power to keep us from falling For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Titus 2:11-12

2. Confession and prayer We need others to help us walk in freedom: * We confess to God and to each other * We pray to God and for each other Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16

11 Addictions Can Be Broken By:
3. Surrender to God Ultimately our victory depends on our relationship with God. We must fully submit and surrender to him. Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. Romans 6:13

12 Addictions Can Be Broken By:
4. Being filled with the Holy Spirit When we empty ourselves from sin, addictions, and bad habits, we cannot just stay empty. We must be filled with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18
