For that is the portion of Joseph, and it was the first part of the Holy Land to be destroyed, and it was there that the exile of Israel and their dispersion among the nations began, as Scripture says, “but they are not grieved for the hurt of Joseph” (Amos 6:6).

30 THE NORTHERN KINGDOM WAS TAKEN CAPTIVE FROM THE GALILEE AREA

Psalm 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in the Torah of the LORD. Isaiah 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

90 ‘WALKING’ IS A HEBRAIC IDIOM FOR FOLLOWING TORAH
Mark 8:24 And he looked up, and said, I see men [Israel] as trees walking [following Torah].

91 THE INGATHERING OF THE EXILES IS RESTORATION
Jeremiah 30:10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save you from afar and your seed from the land of their captivity and Jacob shall return and shall be in rest and be quiet and none shall make him afraid. Jeremiah 30:17 For I will restore health unto you and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they called you an Outcast, saying, This is Zion whom no man seeks after.

92 THE BLIND MAN IS ‘RESTORED’
Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again [second coming of Yeshua] upon his eyes and made him look up [for redemption and the return of Yeshua]: and he was restored [to Yeshua and to Torah] and saw every man clearly [his spiritual eyesight became clear].

93 LESSON SUMMARY Bethsaida means ‘house of fish’
Yeshua healed a blind man (which represents the nation of Israel) in Bethsaida When the blind man (the nation of Israel) received his sight (which represents following Torah) he saw ‘men as trees walking’ The eyes of the blind man (the nation of Israel) was touched a second time by Yeshua (which represents his second coming) and the blind man (the nation of Israel) was restored (believing in Yeshua as the Messiah, following Torah and the end of the exile)

94 MESSIAH GATHERS THE EXILES OF ISRAEL
Matthew 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Matthew 11:6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

95 ISRAEL SINNED AND BECAME BLIND, DEAF, LAME, POOR AND LEPROUS
Volume 9, Page 202

96 EXILE IS A PUNISHMENT FOR HAVING LEPROUSY
Midrash Rabbah - Numbers 7:3 THAT THEY SEND OUT OF THE CAMP EVERY LEPER, etc. You find that just as a mortal king has army chiefs, so God has army chiefs; as it says, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, etc. (Numbers 1:2). A mortal king has of exile for those condemned to banishment, and God also has a place of exile for those condemned to banishment; as it says, THAT THEY SEND OUT OF THE CAMP EVERY LEPER, etc. (Numbers 5:2)

97 LEPROUSY IS A PUNISHMENT FOR DEPARTING FROM TORAH
Midrash Rabbah - Numbers 7:10 Another exposition: COMMAND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, etc. (Numbers 5:2): The Rabbis explain the verse as applying to exile. COMMAND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL; as if to say, because Israel have transgressed the commandments, they have incurred the penalty of being sent away; that is, exile. Hence it is written, AND LET THEM SEND AWAY FROM THE CAMP (ib.). ‘Sending away’ has the meaning of exile; as you read, Send them out of My sight, and let them go forth (Jeremiah 15:1). OUT OF THE CAMP; that is, out of the Land of Israel, where the Shechinah has its camp.

98 LEPROUSY CAN BE HEALED THROUGH REPENTANCE
Midrash Rabbah - Numbers 7:10 ‘AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL DID SO, AND PUT THEM OUT WITHOUT THE CAMP (Numbers 5:4): When they sinned they went into exile. AS THE LORD SPORE UNTO MOSES, SO DID THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL (ib.): What did the Holy One, blessed be He, speak to Moses? That if they would repent while in any of the kingdoms where they might be the Holy One, blessed be He, would gather them together; as it says, And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse... and shalt return... and hearken to His voice... and the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land... and the Lord thy God will circumcise your heart (Deuteronomy 30:1-6).

99 THE SPRINKLING OF CLEAN WATER HEALS LEPROUSY
Midrash Rabbah - Numbers 7:10 SO DID THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL indicates that the children of Israel are destined to do repentance in after days, and will be redeemed; as it says, In repentance and rest shall ye be saved (Isaiah 30:15). Moreover as a leper, one that has an issue, and one that is unclean by the dead will never be clean until they go into ritually clean water, so the Holy One, blessed be He, will sprinkle clean water upon them and cleanse them; as it says, And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean, etc. (Ezekiel 36:25).

100 YESHUA HEALS LEPROSY Matthew 8:1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. Matthew 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. Matthew 8:3 And Yeshua put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

104 THE HOUSE OF JACOB IS ‘NEAR’ AND ‘FAR OFF’ IN THEIR EXILE
1 Kings 8:46 If they sin against you, (for there is no man that sins not) and you be angry with them and deliver them to the enemy so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy far or near; Daniel 9:7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto you but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel that are near and that are far off through all the countries where you have driven them because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.

105 YESHUA DIED TO BRING TOGETHER THOSE WHO ARE ‘NEAR’ AND ‘FAR OFF’
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Messiah Yeshua you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Messiah. Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who has made both one and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Ephesians 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. Isaiah 13:8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travails: Zephaniah 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near and hastens greatly even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. Zephaniah 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness

176 DAY OF THE LORD = JACOB’S TROUBLE
Jeremiah 30:6 Ask ye now and see whether a man does travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins as a woman in travail and all faces are turned into paleness? Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

177 THE END OF JACOB’S EXILE IS DURING JACOB’S TROUBLE
Jeremiah 30:3 For, lo, the days come, says the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah says the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers and they shall possess it. Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

178 ZION IS REDEEMED DURING JACOB’S TROUBLE
Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Isaiah 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Isaiah 35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out and streams in the desert. Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

179 THE INGATHERING OF THE EXILES IS THE DAY OF MESSIAH
2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Yeshua Mashiach and by our gathering together unto him 2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Messiah is at hand.

180 RAISED UP ON THE LAST DAY
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believe on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:54 Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

181 RESURRECTION = LAST DAY WHICH IS THE MESSIANIC ERA
John 11:14 Then said Yeshua unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. John 11:21 Then said Martha unto Yeshua, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died. John 11:23 Yeshua said unto her, Your brother shall rise again. John 11:24 Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

182 LAST DAY = MESSIANIC ERA
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he has torn [exile] and he will heal [redemption] us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. Hosea 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up and we shall live in his sight.

183 A CONTROVERSY WITH THE PHARISEES
John 9:14 And it was the sabbath day when Yeshua made the clay and opened his eyes. John 9:15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes and I washed and do see. John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God because he keeps not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

184 THE ANCIENT PHARISEES BECAME RABBINIC JUDAISM
Source: Wikipedia Encyclopedia The Pharisees (from the Hebrew perushim, from parash, meaning "to separate") were depending on the time, a political party, a social movement, and a school of thought among Jews that flourished during the Second Temple Era (536 BCE – 70 CE). After the destruction of the Second Temple, Pharisaic Judaism came to be known as Rabbinic Judaism and then simply as Judaism. The Pharisees were an ancient sect of Judaism. They existed during the time of rabbis Hillel the Elder and Shammai and during the time of Jesus. They are the direct predecessor to what eventually became known as Rabbinic Judaism.

185 THE ANCIENT PHARISEES BECAME RABBINIC JUDAISM
Source: Wikipedia Encyclopedia In contrast to other Jewish groups of the time, such as Sadducees, Pharisees held that the books of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible also called the written law) have always been transmitted in parallel with an oral tradition. They pointed as proof to the text of the Torah itself where they said many words were left undefined and many procedures mentioned without explanation or instructions; the reader is assumed to be familiar with the details from other sources. This parallel set of material was originally transmitted orally and came to be known as "the oral law". By the year 200 A.D. much of this material was edited together into the Mishnah, the core document of rabbinic Judaism.

186 THE PHARISEES WON’T BE YESHUA’S DISCIPLES
John 9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he your eyes? John 9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? John 9:28 Then they reviled him and said, You are his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples [follow Rabbinic Judaism and the Oral Law]. John 9:29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

187 THE BLIND MAN BECOMES YESHUA’S DISCIPLE
John 9:35 Yeshua heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of God? John 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? John 9:37 And Yeshua said unto him, You have both seen him and it is he that talks with you. John 9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

188 ARE THE PHARISEES BLIND ?
John 9:39 And Yeshua said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. John 9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

189 UNTIL YOU BELIEVE IN YESHUA, YOU ARE BLIND
John 9:41 Yeshua said unto them, If ye were blind, you should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remains. John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold [Yeshua] but climbs up some other way [Pharisaic: Rabbinic Judaism], the same is a thief and a robber.

190 YESHUA IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD
John 10:2 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. John 10:5 And a stranger will they [sheep / house of Jacob] not follow [Pharisaic: Rabbinic Judaism] but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. John 10:6 This parable spake Yeshua unto them [Pharisees]: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them [Pharisees].

191 YESHUA GATHERS THE EXILES OF ISRAEL
John 10:7 Then said Yeshua unto them again Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture. John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.

192 YESHUA GATHERS THE EXILES OF ISRAEL
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. Ezekiel 34:11 For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep and seek them out. Ezekiel 34:13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries and will bring them to their own land and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers and in all the inhabited places of the country.

193 YESHUA GATHERS THE EXILES OF ISRAEL
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd and know my sheep and am known of mine. John 10:16 And other sheep I have [Ephraim] which are not of this fold [Judah]: them also I must bring and they shall hear my voice [Ephraim]; and there shall be one fold [Ephraim and Judah] and one shepherd. John 10:17 Therefore does my Father love me because I lay down my life that I might take it again.

194 THE BLIND MAN IS THE LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL
John 10:17 Therefore does my Father love me because I lay down my life that I might take it again. John 10:19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. John 10:20 And many of them said, He has a devil and is mad; why hear ye him? John 10:21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

195 THE NORTHERN KINGDOM WAS TAKEN CAPTIVE BY THE ASSYRIANS
2 Kings 15:29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee all the land of Naphtali and carried them captive to Assyria.

196 THE SOUTHERN KINGDOM WAS TAKEN CAPTIVE BY THE BABYLONIANS
2 Kings 24:10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem and the city was besieged. 2 Kings 24:15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon and the king's mother and the king's wives and his officers and the mighty of the land those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

197 HOSEA’S MARRIAGE TO GOMER PROPHESIED OF THE JUDGMENT OF THE NORTHERN KINGDOM
Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD. Hosea 1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived and bare him a son.

Lo Ammi = Not my people Hosea 1:8 Now when she had weaned Lo ruhamah, she conceived and bare a son. Hosea 1:9 Then said God, Call his name Lo ammi: for you are not my people and I will not be your God.

201 HOSEA’S CHILDREN WITH GOMER
Lo Ruhamah = No mercy Lo Ammi = Not my people YET Hosea 1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea which cannot be measured nor numbered

202 FROM NO MERCY TO SONS OF THE LIVING ELOHIM
Hosea 1:10 … it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, You are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, You are the sons of the living God. John 1:12 But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on his name:

203 JOHN 21: THE DISCIPLES GO FISHING
John 21:2 There were together Simon Peter and Thomas called Didymus and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee and the sons of Zebedee and two other of his disciples. John 21:3 Simon Peter said unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with you. They went forth and entered into a ship immediately and that night they caught nothing. John 21:4 But when the morning was now come, Yeshua stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Yeshua. John 21:5 Then Yeshua said unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

204 THE DISCIPLES CATCH 153 FISH
John 21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship and ye shall find. They cast therefore and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. John 21:10 Yeshua said unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. John 21:11 Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many yet was not the net broken.

205 THE HEBREW GEMATRIA OF ‘SONS OF GOD’ IS 153

206 THE EXILES OF ISRAEL ARE LIKE SCATTERED SHEEP
Jeremiah 50:17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria has devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.

207 ‘FEED MY SHEEP’ MEANS TO GATHER THE EXILES OF ISRAEL
John 21:14 This is now the third time that Yeshua showed himself to his disciples after that he was risen from the dead. John 21:15 So when they had dined, Yeshua said to Simon Peter … Feed my lambs. John 21:16 He said to him again the second time … Feed my sheep. John 21:17 He said unto him the third time … Feed my sheep.

Numbers 15:37 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Numbers 15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribbon of blue:

214 TZI-TZIT ARE A REMINDER TO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS
Numbers 15:39 And it shall be unto you for a fringe that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them and that you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go a whoring Numbers 15:40 That you remember, and do all my commandments and be holy unto your God.
