5 The Project… Development of a project for the commercialization of natural gas-based petrochemicals. The plant which will be constructed will produce 1,000,000 tonnes per year of Methanol 140,000 tonnes per year of Methanol produced will be used to produce 100,000 tonnes per year of Di-Methyl-Ether (DME).

6 What is the current status of the project?
April 8, The Government of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT) and the Mitsubishi Consortium signed a Project Development Agreement Currently we are in the Pre-Development Stage - CEC Process - Contracts to be Negotiated Project Development Company Incorporated - Caribbean Gas Chemical Limited NEC – Appointed as GORTT Participant

7 Target Final Investment Decision by Shareholders March, 2014.
Project Milestones The Project need to successfully complete many works during the Pre-Development Stage (CEC / Contracts Negotiation / Finance Arrangement / etc). Target Final Investment Decision by Shareholders March, 2014. Until the Final Investment Decision, a temporary office of CGCL for inquiry will be located at NEC’s Communication Centre. After the Final Investment Decision a permanent office will be opened in La Brea

Health Impact There is no known adverse negative health impact from the production of Methanol & DME 7 Methanol Plants in Point Lisas Assessments will be conducted as per the CEC requirements by the EMA 16

17 Environmental Impact During Construction During Operations
Water Effluent– Appropriate treatment. There is no expected adverse environmental impact Air Quality and Noise will be monitored and will be within EMA requirement. During Construction During Operations Dust & Noise from Piling - mitigation measures in place but area prone to dust emissions Traffic - There will be increased traffic during construction. As part of the CEC requirement a Traffic Management Plan will be developed. Water Quality – Storm Water Management will be developed Construction Waste- Standard Waste Disposal Methods-Bins on site to segregate waste . 17

Provide regular and accurate information about the Project (meetings / La Brea office) Partnerships with key community-based organizations to develop sustainable programmes including training The communication process will provide opportunities for persons in the community to express their views on strengthening the relationships between the consortium and the community
