4 ZMF provides … An Interline Staff Travel Agreement (ISTA)
Participants can bilaterally concur with other Participants, as they choose for personal and/or duty travel A flexible program which provides Ability to connect with industry partners to offer reduced rate travel to your people Simplified administration Based on easy to calculate flat rate service charges applicable to Nine mileage bands Three fare levels for leisure travel Three fare levels for duty travel Other duty travel discount options Two classes of service Two reservations status options Two fulfillment options (Self-ticketing (IET) or Transporting Airline Ticketing (NIET))

5 Objectives of ZMF To provide industry standards for interline ID travel To harmonize procedures to reduce administrative costs associated with ID travel To provide infrastructure and mechanisms to enable members to travel on other airlines

6 Eligible Companies An airline may either qualify as a:
full member (be an airline operating scheduled air passenger transportation services available for Members use) or associate member (be an airline operating air transportation services which are not available for Members’ use under the operating carrier’s own code (with the intent to include Cargo, Charter Airlines and scheduled passenger airlines whose inventory may or may not be controlled by a Full Member(s).) To be eligible for ZMF membership, an airline must comply with articles A.1 or A.2 of the Interline Staff Travel Agreement (more details p.17 & 18) Any ZMF participating airline may bilaterally include its subsidiary, affiliate, or franchisee companies (S/A/F), upon bilateral agreement.

7 Personal Travel Eligible Travelers - Mandatory
ZMF participants for leisure travel must agree to accept Category A travelers, which comprise: Active employees of the ZMF participating airline and any bilaterally agreed S/A/F Retired employees of the ZMF participating airline and any bilaterally agreed S/A/F Spouse of the employee/retiree Children, under 24 years of age, of the employee/retiree

8 Personal Travel Eligible Travelers - Optional
ZMF participants for leisure travel may bilaterally agree to accept other Eligibile Categories, limited to: Children, 24 years of age and over, of employee/retiree Parents of employee/retiree Sisters and brothers of employee/retiree Travel partner of employee/retiree

9 Personal or Duty Travel Fares
Uniform fares are charged based on Ticketed Point Mileage (TPM) within 9 fixed distance zones The final cost of the journey is the sum of the fares for each individual coupon plus all applicable taxes, fees, and charges (TFC). Only TFC paid to a government and/or airport authority may be collected (fuel surcharge is not collected) Child and Infant discounts apply Travel by children (age 2-11, inclusive) is at 67% of the applicable adult fare, plus applicable taxes & fees Travel by infants (birth to 23 months, inclusive), not occupying a seat, is at no fare, plus applicable taxes & fees

10 Personal Travel Space-Available ZED (R2) or confirmed (R1) Fares
ZMF participants for leisure travel have the option to bilaterally agree with other members using stand-by and/or confirmed fares; Economy and/or Business class (fares are being revised once a year upon market evolution) (*) (*) Y = Economy (C = Business) – ID = Industry Discount- ZM = Zed Medium - « 2 » = zone 2 R = leisure- 2 = space-available (1 = confirmed)

11 Duty or Crew Deadheading travel Confirmed MIBA Zone Fares
ZMF participants for duty (S1) or crew-positioning (C1) travel have the option to bilaterally agree with other members using different confirmed fares; Economy and/or Business class (fares are being revised once a year upon market evolution)

12 Duty Travel Other discount options
ID50S1 (50% discounted off the highest applicable unrestricted fare, confirmed space travel in business class or economy class) ID50C1 (50% discounted off the highest applicable unrestricted fare, confirmed space travel in business class or economy class – for Crew Deadheading ONLY) ID00S2 (100% discount, space-available travel in business class or economy class) ID00S1 (100% discount, confirmed travel in business class or economy class)

13 Standardized Ticketing
ZMF participants may select one of the following 2 options for standardized ticketing: IET (self-ticketing) NIET (ticketing by the operating carrier) If the member opts for IET, tickets must be issued in accordance with IATA Resolution 788 and Recommended Practice 1788, in addition to the requirements listed in the ISTA Agreement. These include: Fare Basis Code Tour Code Box Passenger Type Code, Ticket Designator Standardized fares

Apply to become a member of the ZED-MIBA Forum (ZMF) The ZED-MIBA Forum is an umbrella organization consisting of most carriers (all alliances, independent, cargo ), ZMF enables members to concur for personal and/or duty travel Participation in ZMF does not mean a Member will automatically have agreements with every other ZMF Members Individual Members will need to evaluate bilateral concurrences based on their own business models and policy

16 Are you an airline operating scheduled air passenger transportation services you may offer to other ZMF Members? If yes, you can become a Full Member Are you an airline operating air transportation services (e.g. cargo, charter)? If yes, you can become an Associate Member

17 Full Member Requirements: article A
Full Member Requirements: article A.1 of the Interline Staff Travel Agreement Airline must: Be an airline operating scheduled air passenger transportation services available for Members use. Be able to accept Eligible Person(s) in accordance with this Agreement. Have a concurrence with at least one Full Member. Pay the annual membership fee and other fees agreed by the Members. Possess a corporate address for official communication. File its fares in accordance with Appendix Fares. Recognize and observe the principles of relevant IATA Resolutions and Recommended Practices, even if not a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

18 Associate Member Requirements: article A
Associate Member Requirements: article A.2 of the Interline Staff Travel Agreement Airline must: Be an airline operating air transportation services which are not available for Members’ use under the operating carrier’s own code (with the intent to include Cargo, Charter Airlines and scheduled passenger airlines whose inventory may or may not be controlled by a Full Member(s).) Have a concurrence with at least one Full Member. Pay the annual membership fee and other fees agreed by the Members. Possess a corporate address for official communication. Recognize and observe the principles of relevant IATA Resolutions and Recommended Practices, even if not a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

19 Procedures for Participation
Contact the Member Service Centre (MSC) to obtain acceptance procedures, at: Submit the following to the MSC: A completed Application Form Two signed originals of the ZMF Signature Document Pay the subscription fee As indicated on the invoice delivered by the MSC

20 Further.. Upon confirmation that the payment has been received by MSC, the interested airline will be considered an applicant. Log-in and password will be provided for access to the Member Section on the website.

21 What happens next MSC will notify all ZMF Members of the new ZMF Applicant ZMF Applicant and ZMF participants are then free to contact each other to negotiate a bilateral concurrence Once an Applicant has its first ISTA concurrence, both parties must confirm the concurrence to the MSC The Applicant then becomes a ZMF Member and a ZMF participant In due course, you will receive an original of the Signature document, countersigned by the ZMF Leader, for your files
