There are 5 sections in each paper i.e. A, B, C, D, E In each section there are 2 questions i.e. total 10 questions in a paper Each question carries 40 marks i.e. total 400 marks in a paper Attempt any ONE question from 2 i.e. 200 marks from 400 marks

28 Prelim Exam-Important Points
Exam centre for Prelim & Mains Exam: Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune. Preliminary exam is just screening test. The marks of Prelim Exam are not intimated & not considered for final merit list There is no re-revaluation system for Prelim Exam as it is multiple choice question based and answer key is available on MPSC website for self verification by candidate. There is 25% negative marks for wrong answer in Prelim Only those candidates are allowed to appear for the Main Written Exam who qualifies the Preliminary Exam.

29 Cut-offs Cut-off will be different for each post/each category.
Generally cut-off line for main exam is decided such that there will be 10 to 12 times candidates will be called upon. Generally cut-off line for interview is decided such that there will be 2 to 3 times candidates will be called upon and it will be different for each post/each category. Minimum Marks for Cutoff in Main Exam are as follows- 1) General Candidates : Min. 35% 2) Backward Class : Min. 30% 3) Physically Disabled/Players : Min 20%

30 Strategy Merit list is prepared considering marks of- Worried?
Main Exam = 750 Marks Interview = 100 Marks Total (Group-A) = 850 Marks Worried? Total marks in main exam including optional = 1200 Attempt for 600 marks Topper’s Marks = 50 % of Total marks. i.e. about 450~500 marks
