3. My Introduction
My name is Adam Darnell Johnson. I was born on July 24, 1988 in Houston Texas. This was the happiest day of parent’s lives!!!!!

4. Early Education
My education began at Longfellow Elementary where I spent all of my primary years at. I attended Pershing Middle School and this is where my love of music really took hold of me.

5. High School Years
At the age of 15, I moved to Katy, Texas and began my high school career at Cinco Ranch High School. I played the snare drum all four years and I participated in three state competitions before graduating in 2007.

6. My College Career
After graduating high school, I enrolled at Houston Community College where I obtained an Associates of Science Degree. I am now enrolled at the University of Houston where I am taking courses that will lead me to Information and Technology in Logistics Bachelor’s Degree.

8. Career Goals
Music has been such an important influence on my life. They literally balance each other out. My dream is to is to be the drummer in a band for a mainstream artist and travel around the world. I currently play in two successful bands and this career could by financially rewarding for me.

Realistically, I have chosen to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. I am interested in this field and I think this is a good plan for my career.

10. My Financial Goals
I would like to make investments in real estate mostly in California because that is where I am choosing to reside. Real estate is a shifty market but I believe that I would do well.

11. Why Do We Need Personal Finance Education?
Nellie Mae reports that the percentage of students with credit cards rose from 67% in 1998 to 78% in 2001.
The average college student carries a credit card debt of $2,748 (Nellie Mae)
According to the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, the number of Americans entering debt management programs has risen sharply over the last ten years.

I have opened a credit account with 2 companies that I can maintain the payments easily.

14. Accomplishments
Having a successful future is more than just being well off financially. I am committed to living a prosperous Christian life. I will live out my dreams and be successful in all aspects of my life. I have graduated from high school, received an Associates of Science degree, and I am on my way to my Bachelors degree.
