Perform and record daily routine transaction necessary to conduct business . Allow managers to monitor status of operations and relations with external environment Serve operational levels. Serve predefine , structured goals and decision making.

Serve middle management . Provide reports on firms current performance ,based on data from TPS. Provide answer to routine question with predefined producer for answering them. Typically have little analytic capability
